K.C. Howard
KC
teaches both drum and guitar lessons to students of all ages. His
goal is to teach students to have fun playing their favorite
music.
Having
played and studied music throughout his life, KC began his musical
career with piano lessons at the age of five. At nine, he
started taking guitar lessons with Peter Pupping, with whom he
studied until beginning college. He began taking drum lessons
with Bill Ray, drummer for Ike Turner, in high school. In
college he was a member of the San Jose State Percussion Ensemble and
Symphonic Band, as well as the Humboldt State Percussion Ensemble.
In 2008-09, his band completed six nationwide US/Canadian tours
and a European tour.
KC
enjoys teaching and playing many types of music. Some of his
main influences are Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Al Di Meola, John
Williams, Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Bill Cobham, Robert Fripp,
Herbie Hancock, Ron Jarzombek, Paco De Lucia, Paul Gilbert and John
Mclaughlin.
