Samantha is a singer, actor, teaching artist, and proud former Inspire student! She is a recent graduate of Hofstra University in New York where she received her B.F.A in Acting and minored in musical theatre. While at Hofstra she studied voice under Kelley Nassief and Tammy Hensrud. Samantha appeared as Lucy in Hofstra’s production of The Threepenny Opera, as well as several cabaret performances. She also performed with Hofstra’s chamber choir led by Dr. David Fryling, the current president of the American Choral Directors Association. She was a member of Hofstra’s award-winning mixed-voice acapella group The Hofbeats. She can be heard singing soprano 1 on their two latest EPs - “Rattle” and “Soulbirds” - which are out on all streaming platforms.
Samantha has performed at many theaters throughout the Bay Area, including American Conservatory Theater, Woodminster Summer Musicals, and Hillbarn Theatre. Favorite past credits include Mary Bennet (Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley), Maria understudy (The Sound of Music) and Rapunzel (Into the Woods). She is a proud Equity Membership Candidate.
Samantha is also a teaching artist at Musical Theatre Works, a non-profit youth theater company in SF. She teaches acting, singing, improv and stagecraft to K-5 students. As an SF native, she’s grateful to be sharing her passion for performing in the community she grew up in! During her youth she studied piano and music theory under Amy Stephens.
